The Volkl V-Werks Mantra skins are the ideal addition to your backcountry and touring setup. If you already have the V-Werks Mantra, then good for you! It's one of the slickest touring skis out there. Adding a set of the pre-cut skins to the mix is definitely a good thing. If you're starting out and are looking for a total setup for amazing backcountry performance for both up and downhill, then you should get them both, the skis and the skins, and you'll be all set for years to come. These skins feature a Mohair mix, which is a great way to construct a skin. By saving weight and adding traction, you're getting the best of all worlds when it comes to uphill performance and downhill consistency. The V-Werks Mantra skins will take you and your skis to the top of some of the craggiest peaks around-setting you up for success on the downhill when you accomplish your climb. At that point, thanks to the light weight of the skin and Volkl's Smart Skin Clip technology, you can take your skins off, click in to the bindings, and off you go-enjoying the fruits of your labor as you schuss down the hill. Smart Skin Clip technology allows skiers to remove the skin from either the tip or the tail, so you can do it where you stand, or not, depending on what you're looking for. *Returned skis that have been mounted are subject to a 20-25% restocking fee. If you are unsure about keeping the skis or your boot size we recommend shipping the skis & bindings unmounted.
Where to Find Your Boot Sole Length (BSL)
The boot sole length is not your foot size or boot size; it is a millimeter measurement of the boot shell. Ski boot manufacturers emboss this measurement into the plastic shell at the heel or under the arch. The number will fall between 255-365mm for an adult ski boot. This number will be greater than your mondo boot size (
eg.
a mondo size of 23.5 commonly has a BSL of 275mm). Please include the “mm” unit to indicate that the number given is the BSL and not the mondo size. Without this precise manufacturer's measurement, we cannot mount your skis.
If we are given incorrect mounting info, the buyer will be responsible for any remounting or restocking fees.
Binding Check:
Buyer is responsible
for taking Ski + Binding to a certified ski shop before use to make final adjustments and do a safety release check.  We do NOT set DIN levels.
Product Availability
Our eBay store shares much of its inventory with our family-owned retail store in Stowe, VT and sometimes our inventory is not accurate due to purchases made locally. If you purchase something that is sold out, we will try our best to find you a suitable replacement item. Any payment for an item that is not available will be refunded immediately. Keep in mind that weekend purchases are not finalized until Monday due to our eBay Department schedule.
