Design:
This is a professional Maiogi Dance Fan and was made by one of Kyoto’s traditional fan makers.
It is a lovely 3-tone flowing water design with glossy-black lacqured bamboo struts. It measures about 20” or 52cm from tip to tip when open and is 12” or about 30cm long when closed.
Condition:
Vintage, it has been been used but is in good condition. It is sturdy and sound without any structural issues however there are a few minor signs of use and a hanko seal in one corner - see photos.
