A vintage 1940s or 1950s silk Hawaiian hula fringe skirt with a woven waistband, red yarn, and real shells sewn on. Silk fringe is a light pink and blue color, very tangled and knotted, many pieces damaged, some other materials stuck in the matted silk. Woven waistband is in good condition although discolored. There is a red yarn fringe sewn in the front, although the yarn is very fragile and some strands are missing. 5 shells are sewn into the front of the waistband, some appear to be missing. A gold-toned belt closure piece is attached to one end of the waistband and fits through a loop on the other side. Skirt is quite heavy. SOLD AS IS.
